Based in our Cirencester office, this varied and rewarding role plays a key part in supporting the administration of a range of services across Publica Group, including Revenues, Benefits, Licensing and Environmental Services.

As a Service Support Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support across multiple teams, helping to ensure the smooth delivery of high-quality services to our customers. Your responsibilities will include processing a wide range of administrative tasks, triaging enquiries, raising purchase orders and invoices, and maintaining accurate records.

You will be communicating with customers through a variety of channels, including face-to-face interactions, telephone calls and email correspondence, delivering a professional and customer-focused service at all times. The role also involves working collaboratively with colleagues across different departments to provide flexible support and help address resource gaps where needed.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a diverse workload, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing efficient and effective support. Following successful completion of training, there may be the opportunity to work from home one day per week, subject to business needs. The working pattern is 20 hours per week. While the 20 hours can be arranged flexibly, they must be worked on a consistent weekly pattern across Monday‑Friday (e.g. set mornings or afternoons each day).

You will need

  • Qualifications equivalent to NVQ level 1 or GCSE in Maths and English
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
  • Clear communication skills
  • Prioritises and meets tight deadlines
  • Flexible and adaptable to change

Special Conditions

  • There may be a requirement to work at other Publica Group (Support) Ltd and/or client locations to meet the needs of the business
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
  • BPSS Check
