The Counter Fraud and Enforcement Unit (CFEU) is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our shared services team. This role focuses on investigating potential breaches of the Renters Rights Act 2025 and related legislation, working on behalf of Cotswold, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and Stroud district councils.
About The Role
- Assessing and investigating potential breaches and offences by landlords, including illegal eviction, harassment, rental bidding and discrimination in renting.
- Using enhanced powers to deal with illegal eviction, tenancy agreements and property possession matters, among others.
- Assisting regulatory teams in investigations and prosecutions within council jurisdictions.
- Working closely with Private Sector Housing teams across partner councils.
- Traveling to various council sites as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Appropriate qualifications.
- Experience in similar roles.
- Experience of liaison and communication with members of the public and colleagues.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with an understanding of data protection issues.
- Ability to travel.
- BPSS clearance.
- Standard DBS clearance.
