As a Civil Enforcement Officer (CEO) you will be part of a dedicated team managing the Council’s car parks. You will provide help and support to drivers and the local community, which will contribute to making the local area a great place to work and live.
You will need to be a good communicator as you will be speaking with different stakeholders within the community to provide practical solutions for the benefit of the local community.
Responsibilities- Regulate parking spaces by advising drivers where to park.
- Patrol parking bays reserved for specific users such as those with a blue badge.
- Ensure a turnover of vehicles in limited waiting parking spaces to give others the opportunity to park.
- Act as an ambassador for the area by advising visitors and residents on attractions and amenities.
- Issue penalty charge notices as and when necessary.
- When issuing notices to vehicles contravening the parking regulations, gather evidence with a handheld computer, taking written notes and photographs, and maintain accurate records.
No previous experience is required; all training will be provided.
Please note the hours for this role are 29.6 hours per week (4 days). Working pattern – 4 week rota. The rota includes every other Saturday as standard plus one Sunday per month. You will also be required to work one bank holiday per year.
Qualifications- GCSEs including English and Maths A*–C or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- A current driving licence and the ability to meet traveling needs of the role, including driving company vehicles.
- Standard DBS Check
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to travel / access to a vehicle for work purposes.
