The Post:
Based at Eurocentral, NHS Scotland Counter Fraud Services (CFS) has the remit to protect NHS Scotland from fraud and other financial crime. In achieving this, CFS provides a comprehensive, integrated and professional service to NHS Scotland by proactively identifying and undertaking investigations of suspected fraud. We are seeking a suitably experienced criminal Intelligence Officer to join our counter fraud team within the Intelligence Bureau.
The Candidate:
You will undertake initial intelligence casework to ensure all information and intelligence received from a diverse range of sources is prioritised and developed in line with the NIM model. This includes the collation, evaluation and dissemination of relevant information and intelligence.
Research intelligence gaps and develop intelligence using recognised intelligence tools. The role involves analysing complex information and consulting with health boards to establish suspected fraudulent activity. The post holder will also contribute to the completion of intelligence products such as intelligence reports, person and problem profiles.
Support intelligence developments and investigations by developing and disseminating accurate, relevant and timely intelligence packages to initiate or support existing operational investigations and focus operational activity. Disseminate information in accordance with all relevant guidance and legislation in relation to data sharing.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme/Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.

Location and Working Pattern:
This post will be based at Eurocentral, Dovecote Road, Motherwell.
The work pattern for this post is Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week.
We currently operate a hybrid working arrangement. However, you will be required to attend the office when operationally necessary.
