A leading London-based housing provider is seeking an experienced and driven Repairs DLO Manager to lead and transform its responsive repairs service. This is a pivotal leadership role, offering the opportunity to make a tangible impact on service delivery and resident satisfaction at a time of continued improvement and investment. The Opportunity
This role will take ownership of a high-performing Direct Labour Organisation (DLO), ensuring the effective delivery of responsive repairs and maintenance services. You will play a key role in driving service improvement, managing operational performance, and ensuring value for money across programmes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and motivating multi-disciplinary teams, setting clear targets and driving high performance
- Identifying and mitigating budget risks, while maintaining strong commercial oversight
- Implementing service improvement plans to enhance quality, efficiency, and resident outcomes
- Managing high-value responsive repairs programmes, ensuring both service quality and financial control
- Driving cultural and operational change across trade-based teams to improve engagement and productivity
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory standards
About You
We are looking for a confident and capable leader with a strong track record in repairs and maintenance within social housing or a similar environment. You will bring:
- Proven experience leading technical and operational teams within a DLO or contractor environment
- Strong knowledge of responsive repairs, including commercial and performance management
- Experience managing Mechanical & Electrical programmes and delivering successful outcomes
- A track record of delivering service transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Sound understanding of housing regulations and landlord compliance responsibilities
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a passion for delivering excellent services
