Goodman Masson are currently working with a social housing organisation in London to recruit for an interim Asset Officer / Analyst. Pay – £250 – £350 per day INSIDE IR35.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the organisation’s Asset Management Strategy, ensuring housing stock data is accurate, maintained, and effectively utilised to support investment planning, compliance, regeneration, and resident services. The successful candidate will work across multiple teams, helping to improve data integrity, enhance asset systems, and support long‑term housing investment programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop housing asset and stock condition databases
  • Ensure asset management systems are fully up to date and reconciled with housing systems
  • Support capital investment, regeneration, retrofit, and estate improvement programmes
  • Produce detailed reports to support operational and strategic decision‑making
  • Provide accurate stock condition and lifecycle information to support planned works programmes
  • Support the development of long‑term asset management plans and investment strategies
  • Act as a key user for asset management systems, providing training and support to internal teams
  • Monitor statutory compliance data including gas, electrical, asbestos, and related safety information
  • Identify data inconsistencies and implement corrective actions
  • Support stock condition survey programmes and work alongside internal and external surveyors
  • Build effective working relationships across housing, property, and corporate services
  • Respond to resident enquiries and support resolution of complex housing and property‑related issues

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working within housing asset management, property services or stock investment
  • Strong knowledge of stock condition data, asset lifecycles, and housing compliance requirements
  • Experience using asset management systems such as Keystone or similar platforms
  • Excellent analytical, reporting and data management skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Experience supporting planned maintenance, investment or regeneration programmes
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Essential Requirements

  • Degree qualification or equivalent experience in Housing, Asset Management, Property or a related field
  • Good standard of education including Maths and English
  • Significant relevant experience within housing or property asset management
  • Knowledge of Decent Homes, HHSRS and housing compliance standards
