Goodman Masson are partnering with an ambitious and growing housing and regeneration organisation to recruit a Resident Engagement Operations Officer (Building Safety). This is a unique opportunity to join a developing Building Safety function and play a visible, resident-facing role in delivering safer homes and stronger communities.

We’re looking for someone who thrives on building relationships, engaging with residents face-to-face and turning feedback into meaningful action. This role combines resident engagement, project coordination and operational support — ideal for someone who enjoys being both out in the community and driving activity behind the scenes.

The Opportunity:

As Resident Engagement Operations Officer, you’ll act as a key link between residents and the Building Safety team — supporting engagement across a diverse portfolio of homes and helping ensure residents feel informed, heard and empowered. You’ll spend time meeting residents in their buildings and at events, while also coordinating engagement activity, supporting compliance processes and ensuring important resident information is managed effectively.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering resident engagement activity focused on building and fire safety awareness
  • Building trusted relationships with residents, including supporting vulnerable and harder-to-reach groups
  • Organising and attending engagement events, workshops, surveys and community sessions
  • Supporting communication and engagement plans across residential buildings
  • Helping residents understand evacuation procedures, building risks and safety responsibilities
  • Coordinating resident feedback and ensuring insights inform service improvements
  • Supporting person-centred fire risk assessment activity and evacuation planning
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting audits and regulatory reporting
  • Managing resident enquiries and acting as a central point of contact for the service
  • Working collaboratively with operational teams, contractors and stakeholders to support resident outcomes

About You:

We’d love to hear from individuals who combine strong people skills with excellent organisation and an interest in housing, resident services or building safety. You’ll ideally bring:

  • Experience working as a Resident Liaison Officer, Resident Engagement Officer or similar resident-facing role
  • Experience delivering resident engagement or community outreach initiatives
  • Ability to engage confidently with diverse communities and build trust quickly
  • Strong administrative and IT skills across Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience producing resident communications and engagement materials
  • Knowledge or understanding of building safety, fire safety and resident engagement principles
  • Understanding of GDPR, consent and safe handling of resident information
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive, solutions-focused and customer-centred approach

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to join an organisation investing in resident voice, community engagement and building safety at an important stage of growth and development. You’ll be part of a collaborative team where ideas are welcomed, residents remain at the heart of decision making and your work will have visible impact across communities.
