We're working with an established not-for-profit organisation to recruit an Accountant. This is a broad role offering exposure across management and financial accounting, business partnering, fixed assets and year-end reporting. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, supporting operational teams and working for an organisation that has a positive impact on the communities it serves.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with operational teams, providing financial reports, analysis and constructive challenge to support decision-making
- Support budget holders with budgeting, forecasting and financial monitoring
- Assist with the year-end process, including audit preparation and statutory reporting
- Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring additions, disposals and depreciation are accurately recorded
- Prepare VAT returns and support wider financial compliance activities
- Produce balance sheet reconciliations and support the month-end close process
- Contribute to continuous improvements in financial processes and controls
About you
- CCAB qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience preparing financial statements and supporting the year-end process
- Previous business partnering experience with non-finance stakeholders
- Strong reconciliation and financial reporting skills
