We're working with an established not-for-profit organisation to recruit an Accountant. This is a broad role offering exposure across management and financial accounting, business partnering, fixed assets and year-end reporting. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, supporting operational teams and working for an organisation that has a positive impact on the communities it serves.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with operational teams, providing financial reports, analysis and constructive challenge to support decision-making
  • Support budget holders with budgeting, forecasting and financial monitoring
  • Assist with the year-end process, including audit preparation and statutory reporting
  • Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring additions, disposals and depreciation are accurately recorded
  • Prepare VAT returns and support wider financial compliance activities
  • Produce balance sheet reconciliations and support the month-end close process
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in financial processes and controls

About you

  • CCAB qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience preparing financial statements and supporting the year-end process
  • Previous business partnering experience with non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong reconciliation and financial reporting skills
