As an Electrical Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Design and Procure Electrical Systems: Develop and implement electrical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Specification Development: Collaborate with various sources and disciplines to gather information and develop initial specifications for projects.
- Conceptual and Detailed Design: Participate in both the conceptual and detailed design phases of electrical projects, ensuring robust and efficient designs.
- Tender and Procurement: Manage the tendering and procurement processes for electrical projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Project Management: Oversee the full project lifecycle, from preliminary scoping through to installation and commissioning, using structured project management methodologies.
- Documentation and Peer Review: Produce comprehensive documentation, drawings, and designs, and assist in presenting these for peer review to ensure accuracy and compliance.
You’ll have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in designing and procuring electrical systems, preferably within a government or public sector context.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical design software and tools, with a strong understanding of electrical standards and regulations.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception to completion, including scoping, installation, and commissioning.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation and present designs for peer review.
- Team Collaboration: Strong ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, gathering and integrating information from various sources.
