The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Basis: Permanent, Full time 36 hours per week. A £312 tax-free working from home allowance is also payable annually.

Location: Cardiff, Belfast or Edinburgh (Hybrid - min. 2 days in office) or Remote (UK).

This post plays a central role in that journey.

About the role: As a Compliance & Transparency Officer, you will help ensure trust in UK democracy by analysing political finance data and ensuring legal compliance across political parties, campaigners and other regulated groups. You will be responsible for reviewing, validating and analysing high volume financial submissions, such as donations, loans, spending returns and annual accounts and helping to tell the story behind the data.

Day to day, you will:

  • Check submissions are on-time, complete and accurate, following up on late receipt or missing details.
  • Review data for compliance with legislation, highlighting any issues and suggesting remediation plans.
  • Analyse trends, patterns and outliers to inform internal and external reports on political funding and spending.
  • Support responses to public, media and stakeholder queries.

About the team: You'll join the Compliance & Transparency Team, a collaborative, data-driven group responsible for ensuring openness and accountability in political finance. The team works with large datasets, varied stakeholder groups and fast-moving regulatory deadlines. The culture is inquisitive, supportive and focused on continuous improvement, including reducing manual data handling and improving digital tools.

Who we're looking for: This role would suit someone who is analytical, curious, detail-oriented and comfortable working with data and stakeholders. We're looking for people who:

Experience in compliance, regulatory work, finance or data analysis is valuable, but we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, including graduates with a strong interest in political finance or elections.
