On behalf of HSE, we are looking for 8x 3H Building Inspector – Inside IR35 for a 6 Month contract based Remote.

As a 3H Building Inspector, your main responsibilities will include:
- Shape Policy & Standards: Contribute to developing and reviewing building control policies, technical standards, and guidance under the new regulatory regime.
- Provide Expert Advice: Offer specialist input on regulatory frameworks, Gateway decisions, golden thread information, and occupation stage duties.
- Support Regulatory Operations: Participate in multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) for Gateway 2, Safety Case Reports, and enforcement cases, providing expert building control insights.
- Interpret Complex Submissions: Review and interpret technical submissions for compliance with building regulations and statutory processes.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify procedural or technical gaps, support the development of tools and resources, and contribute to training and guidance materials.
- Engage with Stakeholders: Maintain strong relationships with industry partners and contribute to technical policy discussions both internally and externally.
You will have:
- Registration as a Class 3 Category H Registered Building Inspector.
- Full membership of RICS, CABE, CIOB, or equivalent.
- Substantial experience in building control regulation, including assessing compliance with building regulations and overseeing complex or higher-risk building projects.
- Ability to interpret technical and regulatory information and apply it supportively in enforcement or regulatory decisions.
- Strong written communication skills to produce clear, concise, and accessible technical advice and guidance.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary environments and contributing to technical assurance in decision-making, while maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
