The predicted salary is between 60000 - 80000 £ per year.

On behalf of National Savings and Investments, we are looking for a Remediation Data Lead for an 18‑month Inside IR35, hybrid contract – up to 2 days per week in London.

An active SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing and eligible to undergo checks.

Preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.

  • Purpose of role in the organisation
  • Lead the data team responsible for undertaking analysis and providing data to support remediation activity.
  • Work with suppliers and internal teams on data‑related matters arising from remediation activity.
  • Provide expert guidance on remediation processes and programmes in relation to data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on management of the remediation pipeline of data
  • Managing the pipeline of remediation cases.
  • Own and amend, as needed, the processes and steps required for accessing, processing and querying data to support this activity.
  • Act as the primary point of engagement for data‑related queries from SDPs and agencies supporting this work.
  • Coordinate the sending and receipt of data from providers.
  • Lead and coordinate work undertaken by analysts supporting the programme.
  • Lead on remediation reporting and policy points related to data
  • Produce reports, updates and analysis for a variety of audiences, up to board level.
  • Engage on operational and policy matters from a data perspective, linking team activities to wider discussions and ensuring data considerations are represented.
  • Own production and updating of supporting documentation.
  • Oversee risk management relating to data
  • Understand and manage risks across the end‑to‑end data processes being followed.
  • Ensure appropriate processes, policies and standards are followed.
  • Improvements and enhancements
  • Lead the development and delivery of improvements and changes that enhance and optimise processes.
  • Development
  • Take ownership of your own data learning journey and oversee the wider remediation data team's development at NS&I, ensuring expertise in relevant data sources and operational processes.

Essential skills and experience

  • Extensive experience in leading data activities in remediation programmes.
  • Extensive experience in applying best‑practice standards to produce, present, communicate and disseminate data and insight appropriately and with influence.
  • Experience in leading a data team, supporting analysts, establishing processes, standards and templates for others to follow, and overseeing high‑quality outputs from the team.
  • Extensive experience in working with and overseeing the management of data from multiple sources in different formats.
  • Ability to interpret data and analysis, summarise findings, and convert them into easily consumable insights for non‑data‑literate stakeholders.
  • Experience in analysing data using SQL or R.
  • Strong Excel and other Microsoft Office skills.
