The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

We are looking for an Oracle Software Developer X2 (Outside IR35) until 31/03/2027 contract based in Abbeywood, Bristol, working hybrid.

Responsibilities

  • Develop payroll element solutions to meet user needs within the guidelines of the Department’s procedures.
  • Write clean, secure and well‑tested fast formula and code.
  • Undertake development for Applications Maintenance (focus on “fix” work) or Change Delivery (focus on business as usual or project work) according to prioritised business demand.
  • Ensure payroll solutions are peer reviewed and unit tested.
  • Formally document developed solutions to facilitate the implementation of solutions to the Civilian payroll application.
  • Provide practitioner level knowledge of Oracle Cloud payroll application, collaborate with teams on configuration solutions and coach and mentor.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience of Oracle Cloud applications, fast formula, payroll and integrations.
  • Experience of OTBI/BI reporting.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a demanding environment.
  • Sound judgement and ability to interpret user needs.
  • Ability to investigate and problem‑solve issues.

Desirable

  • Previous public sector experience.

Additional Information

  • SC Clearance is an essential requirement. Candidates must be willing and eligible to undergo checks. Preference may be given to those who hold active security clearance.
  • Role is only available within the UK.
