On behalf of the Met Office, we are looking for a Python Software Developer (Inside IR35) for until 31/03/2027 contract based Hybrid in the Exeter office.

As a Python Software Developer, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Plan and lead development of user stories, software tasks
  • Find ways to improve system robustness, resilience and stability.
  • Design, code, test, and document software solutions.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines (Business Analyst, Product Manager, Lead Develop, Technical Architect) to fully understand the software requirements.

Essential:

  • Experienced within Python
  • Deployment to a variety of environments including Windows devices and Linux on AWS utilising AWS CDK, CloudFormation & GitHub Actions.
  • AWS Cloud Services experience
  • Active Security Clearance (SC) is required for this position.

Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
