On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Security Assurance Coordinator (Inside IR35) for a 9‑Month contract based Hybrid in either Abbeywood or Corsham. The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is a central government department with a mission to protect our country and provide the ultimate guarantee of its security and independence, as well as helping to protect its values and interests abroad.

The MOD's customers include both the armed forces and national security agencies, and it has a diverse range of requirements, including military fighting vehicles, education services, nuclear submarines and facilities management. To do this the MOD has an annual budget of almost £53 billion and a workforce comprising 197,000 people, of which 54,000 are civilians working for the UK MOD.

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short‑term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate security assurance activities across Foundry products and services in line with MOD and Defence Digital security policies.
  • Support agile delivery teams to understand and implement security requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for security assurance planning, tracking security actions, risks, and dependencies.
  • Assist in the production, maintenance, and quality assurance of Risk Management and Accreditation Document Sets (RMADS).
  • Ensure supporting security evidence is identified, captured, and maintained.
  • Manage version control, assurance milestones, and approvals for security documentation.
  • Liaise with accreditation, cyber security, and risk stakeholders to support timely assurance decisions.
Essential Requirements
  • Experience supporting cyber security or information assurance activities in a digital or IT delivery environment.
  • Understanding of risk‑based security assurance principles within MOD, HMG, or similar regulated environments.
  • Experience contributing to or coordinating RMADS or equivalent security documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple assurance activities concurrently in a fast‑paced delivery context.
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience working within Defence Digital, MOD, or wider UK Government.
  • Familiarity with agile, product‑centric, or user‑centred delivery models.
  • Experience working with NCSC‑accredited CLAS consultants or external assurance providers.
  • Knowledge of cloud hosting platforms and modern digital architectures.
