On behalf of the Cabinet Office, we are looking for a MS365 Information Manager (SEO) (Inside IR35) for a 12‑month contract based Remote with occasional travel. The Cabinet Office supports the Prime Minister and ensures the effective running of government. It also serves as the corporate headquarters for the government, in partnership with HM Treasury, and takes the lead in certain critical policy areas.
Essential Requirements
- SC Clearance – willing and eligible to undergo checks, preference for candidates with active security clearance.
- SharePoint (online) within 365 environments.
- Purview experience.
- Data governance experience.
- Previous public sector experience.

Responsibilities
- Delivery of unified data governance, risk management, compliance and information protection practices across the M365 environment.
- Set direction and best practice for eDiscovery information search features with the Head of M365 Ops, enabling substantive staff to become competent in the Purview modules.
- Establish standard operating procedures to support knowledge transfer to substantive information management staff for searching across Exchange mailboxes, M365 Groups, Teams, SharePoint sites, OneDrive, Group sites and Team sites.
- Develop SOPs for Premium eDiscovery features such as managing notification emails as a workflow, content holds, searches and exports of user content (including non‑M365 data sources), OCR capabilities for data review, and collaboration review via tagging, redactions and other content mark‑up.
- Support the transition from current systems to M365, ensuring information management policies are maintained and UK GDPR and Data Protection principles are replicated in M365.
