On behalf of FCDO, we are looking for a Travel Procurement Specialist – Inside IR35 until 30/11/25, with possible extension, based Hybrid – Remote & 3 days p/week in London.

As a Travel Procurement Specialist your main responsibilities will be to:
* Lead the development of tender specifications for a Global Travel Service Provider, incorporating best practice in service design, team structures, and HR travel policies.
* Provide expert insight into the niche travel market, including in-sourcing vs. outsourcing models, systems integration, and commercial considerations such as business case development.
* Conduct market analysis and apply specialist knowledge to shape service requirements and procurement strategy.
* Engage and manage input from key user groups and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance standards.
* Oversee project timelines and milestones, coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
* Offer broad support on global travel operations, including potential input into business-as-usual activities.
SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
You\’ll have:
* Specialist knowledge of the travel industry, including global business travel operations.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and management across user groups and service areas.
* Expertise in best practice for business travel: service design, organisational structures, systems, and HR/travel policies.
* Proven experience in end-to-end, high-value public sector procurements under UK Government regulations.
* Ability to develop detailed tender specifications for travel services and manage procurement timelines.
* Knowledge of in-sourcing/outsourcing models, IT integration, and compliance frameworks in travel services.
