On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a HR Business Partner Support for an initial 4 month contract based hybrid either in Newport, Baglan or Cardiff.

As a HR Business Partner Support, your main responsibilities will be

  • Providing day-to-day HR administrative support to HR Business Partners and the wider business
  • Managing employee data changes, including role updates, secondments, and system updates
  • Handling HR inbox queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses
  • Supporting talent management, succession planning, and workforce data reporting
  • Assisting with employee relations cases by signposting and administrative support
  • Producing and maintaining HR reports and data analysis using Excel and HR systems
  • Supporting organisation change initiatives and HR projects, tracking progress and timelines
  • Liaising with line managers and stakeholders to support HR processes
  • Taking ownership of assigned HR tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Providing general HR administrative and operational support as required

Essential

  • Previous experience in HR administration or HR support
  • Experience working in a large, complex organisation
  • Strong data handling and administrative skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power Point (MS Office suite)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and work to deadlines
  • Experience supporting HR processes and initiatives
  • Highly organised, resilient, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Good problem-solving and reasoning skills
  • Experience of note taking and supporting meetings

Desirable

  • CIPD qualified or working towards (or equivalent HR experience)
