On behalf of HS2, we are looking for a Business Improvement Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract which is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week in either the London Euston or Birmingham locations to support the maintenance and improvement of the HS2 Integrated Management System.
As a Business Improvement Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Manage quality improvement initiatives
- Develop and continuously improve quality management procedures and processes within the integrated management system.
- Use quality management tools and techniques to promote continual improvements and quality awareness throughout HS2.
- Contribute to the selection and evaluation of suppliers for the HS2 programme to help ensure that all suppliers have the necessary capabilities to deliver consistently to the required quality standards.
- Work with delivery teams to resolve quality and non-conformity issues.
- Input into the audit planning process to ensure that key area risks are included.
- Support the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of process and procedures within the IMS.
- Utilise quality management tools and techniques to promote continuous improvements and quality awareness throughout HS2.
- Develop, agree and communicate audit policies and procedures across HS2 to promote continuous improvements throughout the organisation.
Essential Skills
- Experience in the use of management systems within a busy role
- Stakeholder engagement at all levels across the business
- Assessments experience within either the public or private sectors
- Excellent IT skills including SharePoint and Power BI
- Strong self-starter with a proactive approach to all duties
Desirable Skills
- Experience across either the rail or construction sector will be highly beneficial
Qualifications
- Lead Auditor qualification is essential for this role
