On behalf of Great British Energy, we are looking for Internal Resourcers x 2 - (Inside IR35) for a 12-month contract working on a hybrid basis with an expectation of 2 days attendance in the Aberdeen office. Great British Energy will be a publicly owned, operationally independent energy company, designed to drive clean energy deployment, boost energy independence, create jobs and ensure UK taxpayers, billpayers and communities reap the benefits of clean, secure, homegrown energy.
We are seeking a driven and detail-focused Internal Resourcer to support our Resourcing function within DESNZ (GBE). In this pivotal and exciting role you'll help identify, process and engage mission-aligned talent across a range of technical and non-technical disciplines to support the clean energy transition. Working closely with the hiring managers and HR Team, you'll help GBE to recruit and build high-performing teams that are shaping the clean energy landscape.
As Internal Resourcers x 2 - (Inside IR35), your main responsibilities will be:
- Partner with Hiring Managers, HR and GBE Programme team to understand hiring needs across Business Development & Partnership, Policy & External Affairs, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Local and Admin functions.
- Provide recruitment support to the GBE Leadership team including obtaining and ensuring appropriate approvals are in place for a range of different resources; supporting civil servant recruitment, such as permanent staff, secondments and loans, re-deployment, fast stream, reserve lists and recruiting contingent labour where needed.
- Support GBE recruitment including providing advice on recruitment routes, the end-to-end recruitment process and supporting to pull together panels.
- Lead on ensuring all job descriptions and approvals are collated and saved in the correct SharePoint folders and available for audit purposes.
- Conduct regular analysis of resource information, including the filling of roles and providing stats to feed into reports.
- Engage with a range of stakeholders across GBE, the Directorate, HR, Finance, Minister and Perm Sec Private offices to seek approvals for the range of resources.
- Provide effective administration support to the resourcing and GBE private office to ensure the proper performance of GBE's recruitment processes.
- Support the team and manage queries raised internally or externally for the day to day management of recruitment operations.
- Support on briefings, FOI's and PQs relating to GBE resourcing, set up and structures.
- Own and manage recruitment data and tracking for all roles in GBE, ensuring actions are being managed and helping to progress campaigns to support GBE SLT.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful recruitment campaigns.
- Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, industry networks, renewable energy forums, and events.
- Build and nurture talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
- Conduct initial outreach and screening conversations to assess candidate fit and motivation.
- Coordinate interviews and manage candidate communications to ensure a seamless experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within various resourcing systems.
- Promote GBE employer brand and sustainability mission through compelling outreach and engagement.
- Support internal mobility and succession planning initiatives in alignment with workforce planning.
- Contribute to inclusive hiring efforts and help drive diverse candidate representation across all roles.
Essential
- Recruitment experience combined with experience of the Aberdeen Labour Market.
- Public Sector experience.
- Able to hit the ground running.

- Resident of Aberdeen or surrounding areas.
