On behalf of Great British Energy, we are looking for an Internal Resourcer (Inside IR35) for a 12 months contract based in Aberdeen 2 days per week. Great British Energy will be a publicly owned, operationally independent energy company, designed to drive clean energy deployment, boost energy independence, create jobs and ensure UK taxpayers, billpayers and communities reap the benefits of clean, secure, homegrown energy.
The Internal Resourcer will play a key role in supporting GBE's recruitment activity by identifying, engaging and progressing mission-aligned talent across a range of technical and non-technical roles that support the UK's clean energy transition. Working closely with hiring managers and HR, the role helps build high-performing teams and ensure a smooth, effective recruitment process.
We are seeking a proactive, detail-focused self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is enthusiastic about contributing to GBE's impactful mission. As an Internal Resourcer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Partner with hiring managers, HR and programme teams to understand resourcing needs and advise on recruitment routes across all GBE functions.
- Support end-to-end recruitment processes, including approvals, panel coordination, attraction routes and civil service recruitment pathways (perm, loans, secondments, contingent labour).
- Manage all recruitment administration, ensuring accurate job documentation, SharePoint records, tracking data and audit-ready processes.
- Provide regular resourcing analysis and updates, reporting on role progress, campaign status and key recruitment metrics.
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to progress approvals, support briefings/FOIs/PQs, and ensure smooth recruitment operations during GBE's set-up and transition.
- Proactively source and screen candidates, build diverse talent pipelines, coordinate interviews, and promote GBE's employer brand and sustainability mission.
Essential:
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand, follow and explain HR/recruitment processes and approvals, supporting stakeholders to apply them correctly.
- Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, managing sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
- Able to work flexibly in a changing environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining accurate data tracking, reporting and trend analysis.
- Supporting on other projects around the HR function.
Desirable:
- Experience managing recruitment or resourcing processes, including end-to-end coordination.
- Understanding of HR or recruitment policies and ability to quickly learn departmental procedures.
