About the Role
We are seeking a committed and skilled Social Worker to join our frontline service. In this vital role, you will act on behalf of the Local Authority to deliver statutory functions, safeguard vulnerable individuals, and support positive outcomes for residents. You will work collaboratively with individuals, families, professionals, and partner agencies to promote independence, social inclusion, and wellbeing. This role requires strong professional judgement, critical thinking, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload and deliver services that achieve positive outcomes in line with statutory responsibilities
- Safeguard vulnerable individuals from abuse and harm
- Apply professional curiosity, critical analysis, and evidence-based practice to inform decision-making
- Produce clear, timely, and high-quality professional documentation
- Work in partnership with service users, families, and multi-agency professionals
- Promote independence and provide advice on appropriate services, including third-sector support
- Ensure compliance with current legislation, policy, and procedural frameworks
- Contribute to continuous service improvement within the team
Specific Accountabilities
- Maintain professional registration and meet regulatory standards
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date case recording
- Apply social work theories, including systemic and strengths-based approaches
- Use professional authority appropriately to safeguard and protect rights
- Demonstrate reflective practice and engage in supervision
- Promote the voice, wishes, and preferences of individuals in all interventions
- Uphold social work values, ethics, and equality principles
About You
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate professional who can demonstrate:
- A recognised Social Work qualification and registration with the relevant regulatory body
- At least one year’s post-qualification experience (ASYE considered where applicable)
- Strong knowledge of legal and policy frameworks in social work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- High standards of written documentation and IT proficiency
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice
- Understanding of equality, diversity, and culturally competent practice

- Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (where required)
