To undertake a wide range of responsive repairs, maintenance, refurbishment, and improvement works across Camden Council's housing stock and corporate properties, with a primary focus on plastering. The post holder will deliver high-quality workmanship, ensuring properties are maintained to a safe, compliant, and habitable standard while providing excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Plastering Duties
- Carry out all aspects of plastering work, including skimming, patch repairs, rendering, float and set work, and dry lining.
- Prepare surfaces and ensure all plastering work is completed to a high standard.
- Repair damaged walls and ceilings resulting from damp, leaks, structural works, or general wear and tear.
- Install plasterboard partitions, ceilings, and associated finishes.
- Multi-Skilled Trade Duties
- Undertake a range of secondary trade activities such as basic carpentry, tiling, painting and decorating, flooring repairs, and minor brickwork.
- Complete responsive and planned maintenance works in occupied and void properties.
- Diagnose faults and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Ensure all works are completed efficiently and within agreed timescales.
- Customer Service
- Communicate professionally and courteously with tenants, residents, contractors, and colleagues.
- Keep residents informed of work progress and any changes to scheduled appointments.
- Maintain a customer-focused approach while working within occupied homes.
Must have a valid UK driving licence.
