We’re currently recruiting for a Driver Loader Chargehand to join our busy Waste Collections team in Watford. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated and friendly crew, playing a key part in keeping the borough clean and running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Driving a waste collection vehicle across planned routes in the Watford area
- Supervising a team of loaders to ensure efficient and safe collections
- Completing daily vehicle checks and keeping accurate records
- Ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and waste collection regulations
- Cleaning up any spillages and ensuring roads are left tidy
- Providing excellent customer service and representing the service professionally
What We’re Looking For:
- A valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence
- An up-to-date CPC and digital tachograph card
- A strong work ethic, punctuality and a can-do attitude
- Previous driving experience (newly qualified drivers also considered)
- Great communication and team leadership skills
- Knowledge of vehicle safety checks and road compliance
