About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and highly organised Clerical Officer to join our client’s supportive and dynamic team within Families First Services. This role plays a vital part in supporting the delivery of early help and intervention to children, young people, and families.
As a key member of our administrative team, you will provide efficient clerical support to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support including data entry, filing, photocopying, and document management.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records and databases.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of correspondence, reports, and service information.
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners as required.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and safeguarding procedures at all times.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a clerical or administrative role (preferably within a public or social services setting).
- Demonstrates strong IT and typing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Is highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities.
- Has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Is empathetic, respectful, and able to work with sensitivity around vulnerable families and children.
- Works well independently and as part of a wider team.
The role requires the candidate to search through a variety of different systems to identify families, summarise historical involvement with Services and add Contact Records to our client’s system. The information they will be reading is highly sensitive and can be, at times, distressing. Accuracy is key to this role, as is confidentiality.
