We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Business Support Officer to join our client’s dynamic Social Care teams supporting both Adults and Children’s Services. This is a vital role providing high-quality administrative and business support to front-line social care teams, ensuring that vulnerable individuals and families receive the support they need efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to social workers, team managers, and service users.
- Manage and maintain case management systems (e.g., Liquidlogic, Mosaic), ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate and minute multi-agency meetings, such as Child Protection Conferences and Adult Safeguarding meetings.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Process referrals, maintain records, and generate reports as required.
- Support the preparation and tracking of care packages, assessments, and reviews.
- Deal with telephone and email enquiries from professionals, service users, and the public in a professional manner.
- Contribute to service improvement by identifying and implementing process efficiencies.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong administrative and IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- Is detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Has excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality, particularly within a safeguarding and social care context.
- Has a typing speed of 50+ WPM.
- Can work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Has previous experience in a similar support role within social care or a related setting (desirable but not essential).
