We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Business Support Officer to join our client’s dynamic Social Care teams supporting both Adults and Children’s Services. This is a vital role providing high-quality administrative and business support to front-line social care teams, ensuring that vulnerable individuals and families receive the support they need efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to social workers, team managers, and service users.
  • Manage and maintain case management systems (e.g., Liquidlogic, Mosaic), ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate and minute multi-agency meetings, such as Child Protection Conferences and Adult Safeguarding meetings.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and in compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Process referrals, maintain records, and generate reports as required.
  • Support the preparation and tracking of care packages, assessments, and reviews.
  • Deal with telephone and email enquiries from professionals, service users, and the public in a professional manner.
  • Contribute to service improvement by identifying and implementing process efficiencies.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has strong administrative and IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems.
  • Is detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Has excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality, particularly within a safeguarding and social care context.
  • Has a typing speed of 50+ WPM.
  • Can work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Has previous experience in a similar support role within social care or a related setting (desirable but not essential).
