Business Support Officer – Temp to Perm Location: SG17, Central Bedfordshire Rate: £16.90 per hour (PAYE) Hours: 35 per week (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm) Contract: Temp to Perm – Hybrid (2 days office-based, 3 days working from home) Start Date: Immediate (subject to pre-employment checks) We are currently seeking an experienced Business Support Officer to join a busy team within Central Bedfordshire. This is an exciting temp to perm opportunity, offering a competitive hourly rate and hybrid working model. The successful candidate will work across a variety of teams, providing high-quality administrative and business support to ensure the smooth running of daily operations. This role would suit someone highly organised, adaptable and confident in dealing with colleagues, senior leaders and customers alike. Key Responsibilities * Provide comprehensive administrative support, including filing, photocopying, and document preparation. * Assist the support service with a range of technical and management duties. * Respond to internal and external enquiries, ensuring accurate and timely advice is provided. * Maintain accurate records using both databases and spreadsheet applications. * Handle customer queries in a professional, efficient, and customer-focused manner. * Manage diaries, schedule appointments, and organise meetings. * Take clear and accurate minutes at meetings and circulate accordingly. Skills, Experience & Requirements * A professional and approachable demeanour with excellent interpersonal skills. * Previous experience supporting a senior leadership team or working within a corporate/public sector setting. * Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent customer service and communication skills. * High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. * Competent IT skills, with experience using Microsoft Office and database systems. * Full UK driving licence – desirable but not essential – role may involve travelling to different sites.
