Public Pulse builds the communication and decision‑making layer that modern parliamentary offices rely on. We handle parliamentary data at scale. Thousands of interactions per week flow through our platform, paired with drafting, approval workflows, CRM tracking, and real‑time collaboration tools. Our platform is already in use across parliamentary offices in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. We're expanding internationally and growing fast.
About the Role
The United Kingdom is our next market. Westminster and the devolved parliaments run on constituent correspondence - hundreds of thousands of letters and emails flowing through MP and constituency offices every week, handled with tools that were never built for the job. The same problem we solve in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand exists at greater scale in the UK, and we intend to lead there.
We are looking for our first Country Manager, United Kingdom to establish and lead Public Pulse in the UK. This is a founding, end‑to‑end commercial leadership role. You will own our entry into the market - building the pipeline, closing the first Westminster and constituency offices, shaping how we position the product for UK parliamentary workflows, and laying the foundation for a local team. This is not a role where you inherit a playbook - you will write it. You will be the face of Public Pulse in the UK, in front of MPs, chiefs of staff, and parliamentary services, and the person who turns a standing start into a self‑sustaining market. You will work directly with the founders, with the authority to make decisions and the accountability that comes with them.
You will sell, but you are not only a salesperson. You will run the market - commercial strategy, the first local hires, partnerships, positioning, and the operational realities of selling to government in a new country. The mandate is broad, the feedback loop is direct, and the impact is the difference between Public Pulse being an Australian company that also operates in the UK and being the platform UK parliamentary offices depend on.
Responsibilities
- Own Public Pulse’s go‑to‑market in the United Kingdom end to end - strategy, pipeline, and revenue
- Build and close the first cohort of UK customers across MP offices, constituency offices, and parliamentary services at Westminster and the devolved parliaments
- Be the senior relationship owner with MPs, chiefs of staff, and senior parliamentary and government staff
- Adapt our positioning, pricing, and messaging to UK parliamentary workflows, procurement, and data‑handling expectations
- Establish the local foundations - partnerships, events, and the early UK team you will hire and lead
- Work closely with product and engineering to feed UK market requirements back into the roadmap
- Represent Public Pulse publicly in the UK through briefings, demonstrations, and industry conversations
- Own UK commercial reporting and forecasting, working directly with the founders
You May Be a Good Fit If You
- Have 8+ years in commercial leadership - sales, partnerships, or general management - with a track record of building, not just running
- Have launched a product, region, or business unit from a standing start and taken it to repeatable revenue
- Understand how to sell into the UK public sector, Westminster, or government - the pace, the procurement, and the relationships
- Are equally comfortable closing deals yourself and building the system that lets others close
- Can operate with founder‑level autonomy and accountability in an ambiguous, early‑stage market
- Are an outstanding communicator who earns the trust of senior government stakeholders
- Are based in the UK, ideally London, and willing to travel across Westminster and the devolved nations
Strong Candidates May Also Have
- Direct experience in, or selling to, a parliamentary office, government department, or political organisation
- A strong network across UK politics, the civil service, or govtech
- Experience as a founding commercial hire or country manager at a scaling B2B SaaS company
- Experience building and leading a team from the first hire
- Familiarity with UK data protection and public‑sector security expectations (UK GDPR, government data handling)
