You’ll play a key role in firmwide strategy, lead high-level advisory projects, mentor an established tax team, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the practice.
The Role
As Tax Partner, you’ll take on a senior leadership position within the firm, offering technical direction, strategic oversight, and commercial guidance. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the firm’s tax offering across compliance and advisory services
- Managing a portfolio of high-value clients, including owner-managed businesses, groups, high-net-worth individuals, and entrepreneurs
- Delivering advanced advisory work including corporate restructuring, succession planning, remuneration planning, CGT/IHT planning, shareholder issues, and business transactions
- Acting as the primary technical expert within the tax department
- Supporting the growth of the practice through business development, networking, and strategic initiatives
- Overseeing quality, risk management, and technical excellence across the tax service line
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing tax managers, seniors, and trainees
- Working closely with fellow Partners to drive firmwide performance and long-term strategy

About You
- Be CTA qualified (or ACA/ACCA with extensive tax expertise)
- Have significant experience in a senior tax role within a UK accountancy practice
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge across both personal and corporate tax
- Be confident advising on complex tax matters and leading advisory projects
- Possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Be commercially minded with a strong understanding of client needs and opportunities
- Have proven leadership ability, with experience mentoring and developing tax teams
- Bring strategic thinking, a proactive approach, and a desire to influence firm growth
