This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Corporate Tax Manager to join a forward-thinking firm in Southampton. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, deliver complex corporate tax projects and support the ongoing development of the corporate tax team.
The Role
As Senior Corporate Tax Manager, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of corporate clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of SMEs, groups and owner-managed businesses
- Reviewing complex corporation tax returns, computations and supporting schedules
- Leading advisory assignments such as restructuring, group planning, transactions, share schemes, R&D and international matters
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients and providing clear, commercial tax advice
- Supporting the development, coaching and training of junior and mid-level tax staff
- Working closely with senior leadership on technical, strategic and business development initiatives
- Ensuring high standards of technical accuracy, compliance and client service
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and delivering solutions that add value
This is a varied role offering exposure to both day-to-day compliance and complex strategic advisory work.
About You
You’ll be a confident corporate tax professional with strong technical expertise and a proactive, commercial mindset. You will:
- Be CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Have significant experience in corporate tax within a UK accountancy or professional services environment
- Be confident delivering corporate tax advisory work, including reorganisations and planning projects
- Be capable of managing a client portfolio with autonomy and professionalism
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support the wider tax team
- Be an excellent communicator with the ability to build long-term client relationships
- Bring strong organisational skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional work
- Have a desire to progress your career, with clear aspirations for future leadership
