You’ll work with a wide range of clients across multiple industries, preparing accounts, supporting advisory projects, and mentoring junior colleagues.

The Role

As Senior Accountant, you’ll take ownership of your own portfolio and play a key role in delivering a first-class service to clients. This is a varied role offering a great balance between hands-on accounting work, client interaction, and team support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
  • Preparing corporation tax computations and VAT returns
  • Preparing management accounts and assisting clients with financial planning
  • Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing guidance and feedback
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships
  • Liaising with HMRC and ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines
  • Supporting partners and managers with advisory and project-based work
  • Identifying opportunities for added value and improvements in client processes

About You

You’ll be a technically strong, client-focused accountant who thrives in a collaborative and professional environment. You will:

  • Be ACCA or ACA qualified (or qualified by experience)
  • Have at least 3–5 years’ experience in an accountancy practice
  • Possess strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and tax compliance
  • Be confident working directly with clients and reviewing others’ work
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Have experience using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
