The Role
As Assistant Tax Manager, you’ll support senior colleagues while managing your own diverse portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients
- Preparing and reviewing tax returns and computations
- Supporting advisory projects, including CGT, IHT, restructuring, and remuneration planning
- Liaising directly with clients and HMRC
- Conducting research and drafting advisory reports
- Supporting junior team members and reviewing work
- Contributing to internal process improvement and technical development
About You
You’ll be a motivated tax professional with a strong technical foundation and a desire to progress. You will:
- Be CTA qualified/part-qualified, or ACA/ACCA with a strong tax background
- Have experience in personal and/or corporate tax within a UK practice
- Be a strong communicator with excellent attention to detail
- Be confident managing deadlines and balancing competing workloads
- Be ambitious, proactive, and eager to progress to Manager level
