The Role

As Senior Accountant, you’ll prepare and review accounts, management information, and tax returns, while helping clients make informed business decisions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
  • Preparing and reviewing management accounts, VAT returns, and tax computations
  • Reviewing work prepared by junior colleagues and offering guidance and feedback
  • Liaising directly with clients to build strong, long-term relationships
  • Supporting managers and partners with advisory and planning projects
  • Ensuring all client work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with deadlines

About You

You’ll be a technically strong, organised, and client-focused accountant who enjoys variety and responsibility. You will:

  • Be ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
  • Have experience working within a UK accountancy practice
  • Be confident preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns
  • Have strong knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be proactive, commercially minded, and committed to delivering high-quality client service
