You’ll work with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SMEs, taking responsibility for audit assignments from planning through to completion.
The Role
As Audit Senior, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services while supporting the wider audit team. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading audit fieldwork on-site and remotely across a varied client base.
- Assisting with audit planning, risk assessments and audit strategies.
- Completing audit testing and preparing high-quality working papers.
- Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing guidance and support.
- Preparing statutory accounts and supporting schedules where required.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients during audit assignments.
- Identifying audit issues and communicating findings clearly to managers.
- Ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and in line with deadlines.
- Supporting managers with ad hoc technical queries and client matters.
This role offers strong exposure to end-to-end audits with increasing responsibility and client interaction.
About You
You’ll be a capable and motivated audit professional with solid practice experience. You will:
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
- Have prior experience working in a UK accountancy practice with a strong audit focus.
- Be confident leading audit fieldwork and supervising junior staff.
- Possess good technical knowledge of UK auditing standards and FRS 102.
- Have strong communication skills and a professional client-facing manner.
- Be organised, proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines.
- Enjoy mentoring others and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Be keen to progress toward Audit Manager level over time.
