The Role

As Audit Partner, you will combine technical leadership, commercial responsibility and strategic input across the audit function. Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking overall responsibility for a portfolio of statutory audit clients across a range of sectors.
  • Leading and signing off audit engagements, ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to key clients, providing strategic, commercial and technical insight.

  • Leading, mentoring and developing Audit Directors, Managers and the wider audit team.

  • Supporting recruitment, succession planning and long-term talent development.
  • Ensuring audit independence, ethics and governance standards are maintained.

About You

You’ll be an accomplished audit professional with strong leadership presence and commercial awareness. You will:

  • Be ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Have extensive experience leading statutory audits within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Be confident managing complex audits and senior client relationships.
  • Possess strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102 and auditing standards.
  • Have proven experience leading, mentoring and developing high-performing audit teams.
  • Be commercially minded, with the ability to contribute to firm-wide strategy and growth.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.
  • Be motivated to operate at Partner level with a long‑term commitment to the firm.
