The Role

As Audit Senior, you’ll take ownership of audits from planning to completion, leading fieldwork and supporting junior team members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing audits for a diverse range of clients including owner-managed businesses, charities, and corporate groups
  • Leading on-site audit teams and supervising junior colleagues
  • Planning audit assignments, setting budgets, and ensuring timely completion
  • Preparing financial statements under UK GAAP
  • Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide commercial advice
  • Identifying process improvements and presenting recommendations
  • Supporting managers and partners with technical and advisory projects

About You

You will:

  • Be ACA or ACCA qualified (or part-qualified with strong experience)
  • Have previous experience in external audit within a UK or Irish practice
  • Possess solid knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting
  • Be confident leading audit fieldwork and managing deadlines
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to mentor junior staff
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
