The Role
As Audit Senior, you’ll take ownership of audits from planning to completion, leading fieldwork and supporting junior team members.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing audits for a diverse range of clients including owner-managed businesses, charities, and corporate groups
- Leading on-site audit teams and supervising junior colleagues
- Planning audit assignments, setting budgets, and ensuring timely completion
- Preparing financial statements under UK GAAP
- Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide commercial advice
- Identifying process improvements and presenting recommendations
- Supporting managers and partners with technical and advisory projects
About You
You will:
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified (or part-qualified with strong experience)
- Have previous experience in external audit within a UK or Irish practice
- Possess solid knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting
- Be confident leading audit fieldwork and managing deadlines
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to mentor junior staff
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
