The RoleAs Tax Manager, you’ll work closely with senior leadership and manage a varied portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing compliance for personal and corporate tax
- Reviewing complex tax computations and returns
- Delivering tax advisory projects, including restructuring, remuneration planning, IHT, CGT, and business transactions
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and presenting solutions to clients
- Liaising with HMRC, resolving queries, and handling enquiries
- Supporting, coaching, and reviewing work prepared by junior team members
- Contributing to departmental development, process improvements, and training
- Assisting partners with business development and client proposals
You’re a confident and commercially minded tax specialist who enjoys technical work and client interaction. You will:
- Be CTA qualified (or ACA/ACCA with strong tax experience)
- Have proven experience working in tax within a UK accountancy practice
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge across personal and corporate tax matters
- Be comfortable managing a portfolio and reviewing junior work
- Have excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- Be proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines
