You’ll take a leading role in delivering high-quality audit assignments, supporting junior colleagues, and building strong client relationships.

You will be responsible for managing audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to professional standards. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading audit engagements for a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
• Planning audits, identifying key risk areas, and managing fieldwork
• Completing detailed testing and reviewing audit files for accuracy and compliance
• Supervising, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior team members
• Preparing year-end statutory accounts and supporting documentation
• Liaising directly with clients, addressing queries, and providing regular progress updates
• Reporting findings to managers and partners and contributing to audit conclusions
• Ensuring all work is delivered within agreed timescales and budgets

This is a dynamic and hands-on role with excellent exposure and development opportunities.

You’ll be a confident, motivated, and detail-oriented audit professional who enjoys taking ownership of assignments and working directly with clients. You will:

• Be ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent)
• Have experience working in a UK accountancy practice in an audit-focused role
• Possess strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
• Be confident in leading audits from planning to completion
• Demonstrate strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills
• Be capable of managing multiple deadlines and workloads
• Enjoy coaching junior team members and contributing to a positive team culture
• Be proactive, inquisitive, and committed to continuous improvement
