The Role
As Audit Director, you will take a hands‑on leadership role across audit delivery, operations, and strategic planning. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring high standards of technical accuracy
- Acting as a trusted senior adviser to a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
- Developing, coaching, and managing audit managers, seniors, and trainees
- Overseeing workflow planning, resource allocation, and departmental performance
- Supporting senior leadership with business development, networking, and tender presentations
- Driving improvements to audit processes, methodologies, and quality standards
- Providing strategic input into the audit department’s growth and future direction
- Building and strengthening long-term client and stakeholder relationships

About You
You’re a senior audit professional with strong technical ability, excellent communication skills, and proven leadership experience. You will:
- Be ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with extensive experience in UK practice
- Have a strong track record managing complex audit engagements
- Demonstrate excellent technical knowledge of FRS 102 and auditing standards
- Bring strong commercial awareness and the ability to provide strategic insight
- Be confident leading teams, developing talent, and motivating others
- Possess exceptional organisational and project management skills
- Be proactive, collaborative, and comfortable contributing to firm‑wide strategy
