The Role
As Audit Senior, you’ll be responsible for leading audits from planning through to completion, working closely with clients and supporting the wider audit team. This role offers excellent variety, client exposure, and the opportunity to progress your career within a supportive environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading onsite audit teams and managing the audit process from planning to finalisation
- Preparing financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and other relevant standards
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members and providing coaching and support
- Ensuring compliance with audit methodology, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication and on-site interaction
- Identifying opportunities to add value and improve audit efficiency
- Working closely with managers and partners to deliver audit and assurance services of the highest quality
- Supporting the development of trainees and contributing to their professional growth
- Keeping up to date with changes in auditing standards and financial reporting requirements
About You
You’ll be a motivated and technically capable auditor who enjoys leading assignments and developing client relationships. You will:
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified (or part-qualified)
- Have recent experience leading audits across a range of sectors
- Possess strong technical knowledge of UK auditing standards and accounting principles
- Be organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
- Be confident supervising and mentoring junior team members
- Be proactive, commercially aware, and committed to delivering high-quality work
- Experience with cloud accounting or audit software (such as CCH or CaseWare) would be advantageous.
