You’ll work with a varied client portfolio, taking ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion, within a collaborative and professional environment.
The Role
- Leading audit fieldwork across a range of clients and sectors
- Assisting with audit planning, risk assessments and audit strategies
- Completing audit testing and preparing clear, high-quality working papers
- Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing coaching and support
- Preparing statutory accounts and supporting schedules where required
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout the audit process
- Identifying audit issues and communicating findings to managers
- Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and in line with deadlines
- Supporting managers with technical queries and ad hoc audit matters
This role offers exposure to full audit cycles with increasing responsibility and client interaction.
About You
You’ll be a motivated audit professional with strong practice experience. You will:
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
- Have experience working in a UK accountancy practice with audit exposure
- Be confident leading audit fieldwork and supervising junior team members
- Possess a good technical understanding of UK auditing standards and FRS 102
- Have excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Be organised, proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team and supporting others’ development
- Be keen to progress toward Audit Manager level
