The Role
As an Employment Tax Manager, you’ll be the trusted advisor to clients across multiple sectors, providing practical, strategic advice on employment tax matters while managing compliance and mentoring junior colleagues. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a varied portfolio of clients and delivering advice on PAYE, benefits in kind, IR35, and off-payroll working
- Providing technical guidance on employment status, termination payments, and reward planning
- Overseeing compliance processes, including HMRC submissions and risk management
- Leading advisory projects such as workforce restructuring, incentive schemes, and expatriate tax issues
- Supporting clients during HMRC audits and enquiries, providing strong technical representation

About You
You’ll be a proactive and commercially minded professional who thrives on building relationships and solving complex tax challenges. You will:
- Be CTA, ATT, ACA, or ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Have significant experience in employment tax, PAYE, and benefits advisory within practice or industry
- Demonstrate excellent understanding of UK employment tax legislation and compliance
