The Role

As Audit Senior, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services while supporting the wider audit team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading audit fieldwork on a range of clients across multiple sectors
  • Assisting with audit planning, risk assessments and audit strategies
  • Completing audit testing and preparing high-quality working papers
  • Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing guidance and support
  • Preparing statutory accounts and supporting schedules where required
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients during audit assignments
  • Identifying audit issues and communicating findings clearly to managers
  • Ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and in line with deadlines
  • Supporting managers with technical queries and ad hoc audit matters

This role offers strong exposure to end-to-end audits with increasing responsibility and client interaction.

About You

You’ll be a capable and motivated audit professional with solid practice experience. You will:

  • Be ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Have prior experience working in a UK accountancy practice with a strong audit focus
  • Be confident leading audit fieldwork and supervising junior staff
  • Possess good technical knowledge of UK auditing standards and FRS 102
  • Have strong communication skills and a professional client-facing manner
  • Be organised, proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Enjoy mentoring others and contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Be keen to progress toward Audit Manager level over time
