This is an outstanding opportunity for a Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join a respected and expanding firm in Belfast. You’ll oversee a high-quality corporate client portfolio, deliver strategic tax advisory projects, and play a central role in mentoring and developing the wider tax team.

The Role

As Corporate Tax Senior Manager, you’ll lead on corporate tax delivery across both compliance and advisory, working closely with senior leadership to drive technical excellence and client value. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of corporate clients, including SMEs, owner-managed businesses and larger groups
  • Reviewing complex corporation tax returns and computations, ensuring accuracy and best practice
  • Leading advisory assignments such as restructures, group reorganisations, transactions, R&D claims, capital allowances, share schemes and succession planning
  • Acting as the principal adviser for key clients, providing clear, commercial and proactive tax guidance
  • Managing HMRC correspondence, enquiries and negotiations where required
  • Supporting the tax leadership team on service development, workflow planning and technical strategy
  • Coaching and mentoring managers, seniors and junior staff, building a high-performing, confident team
  • Identifying new opportunities within existing clients and supporting wider business development
  • Ensuring corporate tax work is delivered efficiently, on time and to a consistently high standard

This role offers significant influence internally and strong exposure to complex, high-value tax work.

About You

You’ll be a technically strong, commercially minded corporate tax professional with proven leadership capability. You will:

  • Be CTA qualified (or ACA/ACCA with substantial corporate tax specialism)
  • Have significant corporate tax experience within a UK/NI accountancy practice
  • Be confident leading both compliance delivery and advisory projects
  • Possess excellent technical knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation
  • Have strong client relationship skills, able to advise at senior level
  • Demonstrate experience mentoring, supporting and developing colleagues
  • Be commercially aware, proactive and keen to grow client relationships
  • Have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience supporting transactions or reorganisations is advantageous, but not essential if you have strong advisory grounding.
