The Role

  • Lead a significant portfolio of corporate tax clients, delivering compliance and advisory services including planning projects
  • Manage all commercial aspects of portfolio delivery, ensuring expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met
  • Build trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem solving
  • Oversee junior team members, including workflow management, reviewing work, and providing training
  • Support the wider tax team with technical input on complex matters as needed
  • Interpret changes to corporate taxation legislation and provide trusted advisory to clients and colleagues
  • Champion your own professional development, undertaking regular training opportunities
  • Support business development strategies, including preparing proposals, seeking out opportunities, and assisting with marketing initiatives

About You

  • CTA, ACA, or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with strong corporate tax experience in UK practice
  • Qualified by extensive experience would also be considered
  • A proven track record of autonomously managing a corporate tax portfolio in practice
  • Experience reviewing corporate tax computations and returns
  • Exposure to advisory work such as group structuring, reorganisations, R&D relief, and capital allowances (or a keen desire to develop further)
  • Excellent communication skills and sound attention to detail
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and highly organised
  • A team player able to work closely with senior stakeholders
  • Constructive support to junior team members
  • A can-do attitude and an eagerness to learn from an experienced team
