You’ll manage a varied audit portfolio, oversee end-to-end engagements, and play a key role in mentoring and developing junior colleagues.
The RoleAs Audit Manager, you will take responsibility for the smooth delivery of audit assignments, ensuring quality, efficiency and excellent client service.
- Managing a portfolio of audit clients across a broad range of sectors
- Leading audits from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with professional standards
- Preparing and reviewing audit plans, risk assessments and testing strategies
- Managing fieldwork teams, monitoring progress, budgets and deadlines
- Reviewing audit files and statutory accounts, ensuring high technical quality
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients during engagements, building trusted relationships
- Supporting partners with workflow planning, resourcing and client strategy
- Coaching, mentoring and developing Audit Seniors, Semi Seniors and trainees
- Identifying opportunities to improve client service, add value and support firm growth
This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical audit delivery and people management.
About You- Be ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Have significant external audit experience within a UK/NI accountancy practice
- Be confident managing audit engagements end-to-end
- Possess strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and UK/IRL GAAP, including FRS 102
- Have experience reviewing files and supervising teams
- Be highly organised and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
- Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Enjoy developing people and building a high-performing team culture
- Be proactive, solutions-focused and keen to progress further
Experience with audit software and cloud accounting platforms is beneficial.
