A well-established and growing independent accountancy practice in Barnsley is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its expanding team. This opportunity is ideal for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with around 1 year post-qualified experience (PQE) who is looking to take ownership of client relationships while broadening their technical exposure.
The Role – Senior Accountant
As a Senior Accountant, you will manage your own portfolio of clients while supporting Partners with the development of new fees and cross-referral opportunities across the firm. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SMEs
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105
- Overseeing corporation tax computations and returns
- Providing advisory support to clients on financial and commercial matters
- Acting as the main point of contact for client queries
- Identifying opportunities for new fees and cross-selling services
- Supporting junior team members with technical development
