The Role
As Audit Senior, you’ll lead on audit assignments from planning through to completion, taking responsibility for on-site audit teams and delivering high-quality work within agreed timescales. You’ll work closely with clients, managers, and partners to ensure exceptional service delivery while mentoring junior colleagues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading audits from planning to completion for a diverse range of clients
- Preparing financial statements for limited companies, charities, and partnerships
- Reviewing work completed by junior staff and providing on-the-job coaching
- Managing client communication and maintaining strong working relationships
- Preparing corporation tax computations and liaising with tax teams where required
- Ensuring all work complies with professional standards and regulatory requirements
- Supporting audit managers and partners in identifying opportunities for client growth and process improvement
About You
You’re an organised, detail-oriented professional who enjoys client interaction and leading audit projects.
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified (or part-qualified) with experience in audit within a UK accountancy practice
- Have a solid understanding of FRS 102 and auditing standards
- Be confident leading audits and supervising junior team members
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Be highly organised and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Have experience using audit software (e.g. CCH, CaseWare, or similar)
- Be proactive, professional, and committed to delivering exceptional client service
