The Role

  • Run audits from planning through to finalisation, keeping delivery smooth, compliant, and on budget.
  • Lead fieldwork on site and remotely, coordinating resources and supporting the wider team.
  • Review audit files and financial statements, ensuring high standards and adherence to UK GAAP/IFRS and ISA requirements.
  • Be the go-to contact for your clients, building credibility quickly and dealing with any technical or commercial queries.
  • Work closely with Partners on more complex assurance assignments and occasional advisory projects.
  • Coach and develop junior staff, managing workflow, reviewing work, and helping them grow in confidence and capability.
  • Keep up to date with changes in audit and accounting standards, sharing knowledge internally and externally.
  • Spot opportunities to add value to clients and support the growth of the audit portfolio.

About You

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with solid audit experience in UK practice.
  • A track record of leading audits and managing client relationships confidently.
  • Strong technical knowledge across UK GAAP/IFRS and auditing standards.
  • Experience supervising, reviewing, and developing junior colleagues.
  • A commercial mindset and the confidence to advise clients beyond the basics.
  • Clear communication, good organisation, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
