A leading Sutton Coldfield accountancy practice is recruiting for an experienced Audit and Accounts Semi Senior to join their growing team. This is a broad audit and accounts role offering genuine variety. You will work across audit, statutory accounts and general practice work, gaining exposure to a wide range of clients and assignments.
Key responsibilities will include:- Supporting and completing statutory audit assignments
- Assisting with audit planning, fieldwork and file completion
- Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies and groups
- Producing working papers and supporting audit completion meetings
- Liaising directly with clients and building strong working relationships
- Supporting junior team members and managing workload effectively
The firm’s audit work is particularly strong, including group clients ranging from £5m – £20m turnover, with the largest group at approximately £56m turnover. The client base is wide-ranging and geographically diverse, with audit assignments across the UK including Kent, Somerset, Shrewsbury and Uttoxeter. Audit visits are planned in advance and managed professionally, with clear communication to clients around scheduling and delivery.

Requirements:- An Audit Semi Senior or Accounts Semi Senior working in a UK accountancy practice
- ACA / ACCA finalist, nearly qualified, or recently qualified
- Strong audit and accounts experience in public practice
- Confident preparing statutory accounts and supporting audit fieldwork
- Personable, organised and able to take ownership of work
- Ambitious and keen to progress long-term
- £33,000 – £39,000 salary
